Minicomics

Quarter-folded and other smaller-format minicomics!  The first few of these were created to easily copy and mail to my internet friends and are out of print forever and ever. 😛

Update June 2026: Etsy links below are currently not working, but the store should be back up soon. Thanks!

image coming soon Minicomic #1 Art Club Goes to Hawaii (Summer/Fall 2005) This was a parody of when sitcoms like the Brady Bunch run out of ideas, so they pick the characters up and move them to a new setting, like Hawaii or outer space or something.
Minicomic #2 Hoshi no Hitomi no Silhouette (October 2005) A retelling of one of my favorite manga.  As the tagline says, 2,000 pages condensed into fifteen.  The manga is about a girl who feels guilty for having a crush on the same boy as her friend, and when it turns out the boy likes her back, it makes things even more awkward.
Minicomic #3 This is Not a Drill!!1 (October 2005) Eight pages of short stories/anecdotes about dorm life, fire drills, ranting about Paris Hilton for some reason, among others.  Has not aged great, but neither have I lol.
Minicomic #4 More Low-Budget Art Club Fun!! (February 2006) Twelve pages of gags that are largely not funny by 2025 standards.  Also features jokes involving weeaboos and MySpace, ohhh boy!
Minicomic #5 Dreams that I Have Had (April 2007) Exactly what it says on the tin: recalling weird, nonsensical dreams I’ve had over the years. Freud would have a field day. Twelve pages.

Minicomic #6 Me & My Fat Pants (March 2025) Musings on weight loss, pregnancy, accomplishments, all that crap.

Minicomics 6-10 are quarter-fold eight-page minis, and were made to practice inking in Procreate.  Turns out I really dislike inking in Procreate, so I’ve stopped forcing myself to do it. I might redo these in an analog format someday because I think they’re funny.

Minicomic #7 The Cool Kids Show (June 2025) A retrospective of the fake radio show my sister and I made as kids in the 90s. Eight pages.
Minicomic #8 Dust Stuff (June 2025) Dad makes my sister and me do housework so we can find husbands when we grow up. Eight pages.
Minicomic #9 Cotton Candy (November 2025) Created from a workshop prompt involving dumb things you were taught or believed as a kid that weren’t actually true. For example, my cousin once told me that cotton candy is made out of real cotton.
Minicomic #10 Idlewild (February 2026) Ditching family pizza night to hang out with my BFF circa 1998. 12 pages, accordion fold, printed in color (pink/purple ink wash). Approx 5 1/4″ square, unfolds to about 28″ wide.
image coming soon Minicomic #11 Bats, Man (March 2026) Silly story about attempting to watch bats emerge from their home at nightfall. 6 pages, accordion fold, printed in color (green/orange/black ink wash).  Approx 5 1/4″ square, unfolds to about 14 inches wide.
image coming soon Minicomic #12 Smoke (May 2026) I’m five years old and waiting in the car while my dad runs into the gas station to get cigs, expecting to be kidnapped at any time. 8 pages, accordion fold, printed in color (purple/blue ink wash). Approx 5 1/4” square, folds out to about 21 inches wide.
Image coming soon Minicomic #14 Fart Chips (coming eventually) Writeup of our first big family trip to Sea World Ohio in like 1995 or whatever.
